The Plumbing Industry Commission have arranged six breakfast events at locations across Victoria to celebrate.

All practitioners are invited to attend and spaces are limited, so registration is essential as per the instructions below.

There will be a door prize at each breakfast and showbags for attendees.

1. IPA will upload the Message of Chairman – World Plumbing Council, Mr. Robert  Burgan alongwith a Message from President – Indian Plumbing Association, Mr. Sudhakaran Nair on the IPA website – www.indianplumbing.org.
2. IPA and AIM will devote March 2010 issue of Indian Plumbing Today to World Plumbing Day and it’s theme. Six enlightened professionals from different parts of India are working on thematic articles for this Special Issue, which will become a sort of Collector’s Issue!
3. IPA will publish 5,000 additional copies of this Collector’s Issue of IPT, for sending it with the complements of IPA to government agencies, builders, architects, project managers, hotels, hospitals and so on.
4. This issue of IPT will also carry special message from WPC Chairman and IPA  President.
5. IPA and it’s members will send specially developed e-mailers, inviting people to join  the celebration of World Plumbing Day! The e-mailers will also contain brief information on the WPC and activates of IPA.
6. All the  leading manufactures are being advised to send similar e-mailer to dealers, distributors, architects, builders, engineers and end-users, with a small message about their company. As per a rough estimate, close to one million such e-mailers will be sent by the manufacturers in India!
7. Manufacturers in India are requested to release thematic advertisements on World Plumbing Day, in electronic as well as print media.
8. IPA and AIM are creating a community of IPA members on a social networking site to create an awareness about the Day. This community will eventually expand, beyond IPA members also.
9. All the manufacturers of plumbing and allied products are being requested to upload the World Plumbing Day logo on their website with hyperlink to the websites -  www.worldplumbingday.org; www.worldplumbing.org and www.indianplumbing.org.
10. All of IPA’s chapters at Coimbatore, Jaipur, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Gujarat, Hyderabad, Kerala, Kolkata, Mumbai & Pune will organize a Seminar on 11th  March 2010 on theme of the Day and invite other industry bodies from building service industry, to join the celebration.
11. All the Chapter Chairmen will also try to involve local media (print as well as  electronic) for this seminar and also, World Plumbing Day celebration.
12. All the chapters are advised to initiate some school-level programmes like drawing competitions and / or DIY.
13. About 5,000 posters of A3 size will be printed on World Plumbing Day for displaying at construction sites, colleges, government officer, schools and even at the places of mass-movement like railway stations, airports etc for creating an awareness about better plumbing in general and World Plumbing Day, in particular.
14. Apart from this, IPA is also planning to print stickers of 3”x5”, each of which can be used for promotional purposes.
15. The Hindu, one of India's respected national English dailies, will carry a full page ad on World Plumbing Day.
16. Street Plays (Nukkar Natak) will be held at three locations: Govt. Khaitan Polytechnic, Gaurav Towers and Vaibhav Multiplex in the Pink City, Jaipur. The Play will highlight the importance of Conserving Water, Plumbing - Vital to Global Health.
17. A poster competition is being organised in one of the leading schools on conservation of water.
18. T-Shirts will be distributed with the World Plumbing Day Logo printed on them.  All IPA members shall be present wearing the T-Shirts during the Nukkad Nataks.
19. A seminar will be held at Pink City Press Club from 6pm to 8 pm while the Play is being presented.

• Elementary School Coloring Contest: IAPMO will approach grade school administrators about participation in a coloring contest highlighting safety work performed by plumbers. 11x17 posters will be available for download in .pdf file form and the winning entry will receive a Nintendo Wii game system.
