Statement by Dr. Peters about the new World Plumbing Day:

“I can only congratulate the initiators on their idea of holding a World Plumbing Day and, therefore, of emphasizing the importance of the plumbing industry in terms of health care and environmental protection. After all, ensuring an adequate supply of drinking water and hygienic conditions through suitable installations is a subject of worldwide relevance. And who could better draw public attention to the important role played by the sanitation, heating and air-conditioning sector than the World Plumbing Council (WPC). For Messe Frankfurt, the WPC with its worldwide network is a strong partner. We have been working together successfully with the WPC in connection with the ISH – The World’s Leading Trade Fair for The Bathroom Experience, Building Services, Energy, Air Conditioning Technology and Renewable Energies – for many years. Additionally, we are currently working together on ISH China, from 10 to 12 March 2010, for the fourth time. Installation technology is an important subject at both the parent event in Frankfurt and at ISH China. It is an integrative element of sanitation technology on the one hand and energy, building-technology and air-conditioning technology on the other. Both events have the same aim as the World Plumbing Day: to increase the well-being of people through innovative technology and to protect the environment through energy-saving solutions.
